Alumni
The Alumni Association is a continuous and progressive link of an Institution between its past glory and present panorama. Hundreds of proud alumni from SBSPGI play a central role in almost every sphere of life in India and abroad. They all carry with them a very special and unique experience. The Institute's Alumni Association was established with the aim of strengthening the ties between SBSPGI and its graduates. The association office bearers maintain the track record of SBS Alumni. The Association organizes activities such as class reunions, departmental conferences, social events and lectures by the renowned experts. The Alumni office facilitates interaction between Alumni and the Institute, and strengthens Alumni network within the country & abroad. Further an annual alumni meet is organized in the Campus. The alumni meetings are held in various zones of India, where they share their nostalgic feelings and rich experience of life with the present and past students. The Association has also taken the initiation of presenting the SBS Alumni- Award of Excellence, Distinguished Alumnus Awards and The Award of Appreciation.
The nominations are received for the arenas including Academic Excellence, Managerial Excellence, Entrepreneurial Excellence, Excellence in Other Walks of Life, Alumni Activities. The Association conferred Mr Sunil Chaudhary (B. Pharm 1995-2000), Drug Control Officer, Chandigarh, India; Mr Himanshu Tyagi (M.Sc. Pharm Chem 1998-2000), MD Vinca Life Sciences, Panchcula, Haryana; Mr Yogender Tomar (M.Sc. Pharm Chem 1998-2000), Head, Quality Control with Alembic Ltd, Baddi (HP) and Dr. Ravinder Sharma (BPT 1998-2002, MPT 2003-2005) , Assistant professor, TDTR DAV Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Yamunanagar, with the Award of Appreciation of the SBS Old Students Association, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the society and helping the students for getting placed in the reputed pharma sectors and in field of physiotherapy respectively on the occasion of Dashak Reunion "Rewind 2010" of SBS Old Students Association.
