Division of Life Sciences of Sardar Bagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research is organizing a National conference on ‘Microbial Diversity : Avenues and Applications’, scheduled on 17th-18th March, 2007. The symposium is sponsored by Uttaranchal State Council of Science and Technology -Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

The symposium intends to cover following broad areas:

  • Advances in microbial diversity and taxonomy
  • Microbes in different ecosystems.
  • Genomics and Proteomics
  • Microbial diversity and bioprospecting for industrial and environmental Biotechnology.
  • Medical and Veterinary microbiology
  • Microbial resource in the upliftment of agriculture, health, forest, food, industry and environment.
